Review of Works by Murillo That Have Been Rejected
If you believe you have a piece by Murillo and you want to have it authenticated, our group of researchers and analysts will complete exhaustive investigative work, searching in archives, newspapers, exhibition catalogs, documentation, etc. Normally, if authenticating a work of art requires more effort than simple observation - and if that is coupled with a lack of knowledge in provenance reconstruction and investigation - the work is unlikely to be authenticated.
However, our team offers varied and diverse services such as provenance, attribution, appraisal, and, very specifically, authentication.
The work then undergoes a stylistic study called Morellian Analysis, which combines several elements of knowledge about Murillo. Morellian Analysis investigates common patterns and standards that exist in works that have already been identified as genuine Murillos.
